Blaschke- and Minkowski-endomorphisms of Convex Bodies

We consider maps of the family of convex bodies in Euclidean ddimensional space into itself that are compatible with certain structures on this family: A Minkowski-endomorphism is a continuous, Minkowski-additive map that commutes with rotations. For d ≥ 3, a representation theorem for such maps is given, showing that they are mixtures of certain prototypes. These prototypes are obtained by app...

THE L p MINKOWSKI PROBLEM FOR POLYTOPES FOR p < 0

Existence of solutions to the Lp Minkowski problem is proved for all p < 0. For the critical case of p = −n, which is known as the centro-affine Minkowski problem, this paper contains the main result in [71] as a special case.

On p-radial Blaschke and harmonic Blaschke additions

In the paper, we first improve the radial Blaschke and harmonic Blaschke additions and introduce the p-radial Blaschke and p-harmonic Blaschke additions. Following this, Dresher type inequalities for the radial Blaschke-Minkowski homomorphisms with respect to p-radial Blaschke and p-harmonic Blaschke additions are established.

Convolutions and Multiplier Transformations of Convex Bodies

Rotation intertwining maps from the set of convex bodies in R into itself that are continuous linear operators with respect to Minkowski and Blaschke addition are investigated. The main focus is on Blaschke-Minkowski homomorphisms. We show that such maps are represented by a spherical convolution operator. An application of this representation is a complete classification of all even BlaschkeMi...

Homomorphisms between Verma Modules in Characteristic P

Let g be a complex semisimple Lie algebra, with a Bore1 subalgebra b c g and Cartan subalgebra h c b. In classifying the finite dimensional representations of g, Cartan showed that any simple finite dimensional g-module has a generating element u, annihilated by n = [b, b], on which h acts by a linear form I E h*. Such an element is called a primitive vector (for the module). Harish-Chandra [9]...
